Yesterday we saw Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
The Constitution. The foundation of our Republic. “We the People, in order to form a more perfect union, establish domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense…”. I read that and I see today, and wonder what the founding fathers would think. Unity and domestic tranquility need to make a comeback.
The Liberty Bell stands for something. It represents something big, but as far as bells go, it is not the largest. And it has a flaw. Another lesson learned? I don’t have to be perfect, or the biggest, or the best, to stand for something. I don’t have to do one thing great, but can do many small things well. And…I can stand for something, even if I’m flawed, broken, or scarred.
We left Philly today and will travel by train to Washington DC. Have a great day.
